I'm hoping that people will return here - but I will understand if they do not. However, I now have a lot more resources behind me to continue running the forums than I ever had before, and I will do my utmost to ensure integrity throughout.
So enjoy (or not) and please do send feedback (editor@foem.org.uk) regardless.

I decided to come back and I left a message up on Phpbber that these were back up. Perhaps you can move some of the posts from there onto this forum...

I have now registered for the FOEM forums five times!
I'll go wherever the discussion is, although I'm afraid I'm completley useless on that front right now. phpbber, as Doktor E said, is back up, and we can probably figure out some way of transferring discussions even if that involves some copy/paste action.

I've registered even more than five times - LOL - but I know your frustration with all of this, and it is entirely my fault and I can't apologise enough for it. But I think as my life is improving (debts are being knocked down, work is interesting and much less hectic than that of when I was working at MPC) this should reflect much more in how FoEM is being run.
I might be able to knock up a script which will go through phpbber and extract posts. The difficulty will be allocating them to existing users here at these forums.

Good to have the old look back, with the welcome addition of the raven in flight.
But now I have to build up my post count from scratch!
And Segundus, if you let this one go AWOL, I'll come over there and insert a large ornamental faerie up your left nostril so hard it'll be very very unpleasant for you.
SO there. :p

Actually, could you stick that ornamental faerie up my nostril anyway - it may help with my hayfever :)

What, was my raven not good enough for you? :P

Was your raven not the same? Just with little ivy bits around the edges.

I liked the ivy.

Me too. But the forums before the ones that CofH set up didn't have any sort of a raven at all, I don't think...

That's sad :(

I think that they had a tiny one, but I'm not sure. I know at one point we had something that looked like a fairy road.

It was the same raven, I was kidding. Also, I liked the fairy road. It was pretty.

The fairy road was cool too - I'm just glad we've all stuck together through our many versions (though some more than others - I've been lurking about quite a bit).
Howdy to all - and hope all is well with everyone!
Cheers!

Yeah, I noticed it giving trouble too. Good thing we have this one indeed.

PHPbber went down again last night. Good job I work for a leading web hosting firm now, isn't it? :)
I've trimmed down the number of servers to keep everything at Memset.com (http://www.memset.com) (my employers). Hope the speed/connection is good for everybody. The forum database is backed up automatically at least 10 times a day, copied to external backup servers hosted in a secure facility.
