I'm a Gryffindor too... I like HP but I didn't let myslef be entrapped by the series (I borrow the books of my best friend and I have still to read 6th and 7th)... a comparison with JS&MrN would be utterly ridiculous.

Well, I know you can't directly compare Harry Potter and JS&MN - but both have a good number of followers. It's just which set are likely to remain loyal to the author - Susanna Clarke or JK Rowling. Me? Susanna Clarke any day of the week.

Without a second thought, I agree.
By the way, I should mention that I've finally heard the dweller in high places. It's finally gone onto my ipod, with the advent of iTunes 8.0. I'll post t thread soon!
