Anyone see it yesterday?

Was that some kind of weird cop out or what?

I feel cheated.

Oh yes. Saw it yesterday via BBC's iPlayer and was quite intrigued by it all. The re-generation thing was a bit of cop-out - having transferred the energy to his spare hand. But why? I couldn't see any of that energy go back to the Doctor himself.

Davros was on top form, you've got to admit that. They made good use of him on this one, and the fact that he was unpopular with his own creations went down well with me. And Dalek Caan - he should have his own show.

As for Doctor Donna, interesting concept, but surely having all these half Time Lords and Time Lords running around like that would have caused some kind of paradox? But it was quite sweet to see Rose left with the half-human Doctor in the parallel universe. A nice ending to the Rose thread - but who can say they can't get into more trouble in the future given that it IS the Doctor she's staying with.

Donna's memory wipe. What a waste of time. Catherine Tate did a wonderful job, and I would have liked to have seen her continue in the role.

Oh well. The Doctor's alone again, and it's going to be a long series of waits to see what happens next until the show really comes back in 2010.

Mostly it was excellent. Davros, German Daleks, the whole, how do you spell it, key was expertly handled. Really the only things that didn't work was the almighty console and Donna's ending.

Davros was great.
So was Dalek Caan.
But every time I saw him I thought he was Tony Harrison out of Mighty Boosch (it's an outrage!).

Sad to loose Donna in such a half hearted pathetic way.
I didn't think I'd like her in it, but I did, and I'm sorry she's gone.

And the Tardis towing the earth home was so tacky...
And cheap looking. It was worse than all the rubber headed monsters they had back when I was a kid.

Oh well.

And two David Tennants, both yapping on, was just too much.
He talks too much.
I want Christopher Ecclestone back.

He'll be in the next series of Boosh, I'm sure :)

Yeah, this was a major let down and Doctor Who loses a major asset to the series. One of RTD's last little jokes, I'm sure :)

I personally blame RTD and perhaps Graeham Harper for the Tardis pulling the Earth along more than I would The Mill - sometimes the client doesn't know best as I've found out when I worked for The Moving Picture Company.

I know what you mean about Christopher Ecclestone, but wasn't he good in Heroes last series?

I haven't been watching heroes.

I keep getting told I ought too, but then I think I must have missed too much....

Maybe they will repeat it all from the start for me :)

Has anybody seen Pushing Daisies? That's pretty good too.

I saw some of them.
I rather liked it.
It was very unusual, which is nice, cos so many things are just the same old stuff over and over again.

I'm a big fan of both "Heroes" and "Pushing Daisies;" Lillie there's a lot of time before the new season of "Heroes" comes out that you would be able to catch up fairly quickly because there were only a few episodes in the second season. I know that the first season's out on DVD and the second season will be coming out shortly. Here is a link to more information about the episodes: Heroes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Heroes_episodes)

Edit: I looked at the page more closely and followed this link Episodes (http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/video/episodes.shtml)in which you can watch all of the (complete) episodes from Season 2!
Personally, I found the first season to be more dynamic, but I'm looking forward to the return of the show for Season 3, which is entitled "Villains."

Haven't started on season two of Heroes as yet. The link you've given out, DE, is only suitable for those in the US, unfortunately. But I like Pushing Daisies because it is so unlike anything that's come before it. It's a kind of Twin Peaks meets Amelie.

I'm still heavily into Battlestar Galactica - even more so now that it's coming to an end..

It's so unfair!

I really, really want super powers.....

But I haven't got any :(

Segundus, do you have an equivalent station that would host the episodes on their site in the UK? It might not matter since Region 2 is supposed to get the Season 2 DVD in August; the show doesn't come back until Sept. 22 in the US.

Lillie, what superpowers would you want? After watching the second season, I'd really love to have "muscle memory."

:)

I have thought about this.

I'd like to be able to fly and talk to animals
Yes, I can talk to animals anyway, they just don't have a clue what I am on about...

I'd like to be able to understand animals and have them understand me.
And then I would get all the Jackdaws in the neighbourhood to poop on our neighbours car.

What would you have?

The show had this one episode in which a character developed "muscle memory" in that anything she watched happen, on TV or wherever, she could repeat. I would probably watch a lot of kung fu videos and "The Matrix" or a bunch of "So You Think You Can Dance."

Oh!

That's what muscle memory is!

That sounds pretty good!
Learning stuff just by watching...
Well cool!
